I’ve never met anyone that has a personality like Camille. She’s quite humorous if I do say so myself. She’s one of the biggest life-lovin people I know and that's because Jesus has wrecked her life. She cares deeply for friendships and good times. She loves memories, laughter, and adventures. She’s serving at a camp in Missouri this summer so I’m not sure when she will be able to read this, but I am so blessed to call her one of my friends. (ps her birthday is tomorrow too!)
So, Camille Shepherd who are you?
I am Rose Mary’s granddaughter. Spitting image of my father. When the day is done my momma’s still my biggest fan.
(Also, I am joyful. I am outgoing. I am too awkward for words. I love Jesus and I love food too much.)
Where did you grow up?
On an alpaca farm in Goodrich, Michigan
What’s your favorite color?
Yellow. Cause its joyful like the sun. It’s the color of the sun.
Random Facts About You:
I hate chocolate.
I was an Alpaca Show Girl.
I naturally have bleach blonde hair.
I’ve moved 13 times in my life.
I just found out two years ago that unicorns weren’t real.
What did you want to be when you were little?
A dentist because I really liked teeth.
Food that best describes you?
Egg Plant Parmesan. It’s cheesy and the eggplant part creeps people out.
When did you find Jesus?
Growing up in a Christian home I knew of Jesus my entire life but I didn’t truly know Him. Through many trials such as my parent’s divorce, health problems, and a manipulative boyfriend, Jesus pursued me and brought beauty out of those journeys. I realized there was no such thing as a lukewarm Christian—I was seventeen when I truly came to know the Lord at my house with my mom. Then when I came to Liberty, the Lord used friendships and the university for me to find Jesus’ calling on my life to be in ministry.
Favorite Passage of Scripture:
2 Corinthians 4:18 “So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” It’s so important to set our minds on the kingdom and to seek out the lost souls and bring them to eternity.
Acts 20:24 “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” I remind myself that I am here to tell people about God’s grace, nothing matters except Christ.
What is a passion you have?
Sex trafficking. I got that passion at Passion conference 2013. That’s where the Lord opened my eyes to how many women and young children are slaves today. I want to tell and show God’s love to the rescued victims.
How we met:
We met through my freshman roommate Hannah Taylor. The first time you ever saw me I was bawling my eyes out gripping my mom’s leg because I didn’t want her to leave me at Liberty.
What does being radiant mean to you?
When you have Jesus inside of you, it glows from every crevice of you and it attracts people to Him.

Remember that one time we had to evacuate the apartment because you had burnt the dishes in the dishwasher at 2am? Remember that time you almost died when we went hiking, but no one else saw you slip and fall but me? Remember when you bought a cojon for a hundred bucks and didn’t know how to play it at all? These are just a few reasons why I love you and your fun-spontaneous personality. I’m missing you this summer but I know you are enjoying the camp lyfe swag in the big M-O! I can’t wait to hug your neck in August. Thanks for making me laugh even on my worst days. You do that for a lot of our friends and frankly, that bursting laughter is what makes you R A D I A N T.
